PIFCARE is our ‘peace of mind’ service designed to take the hassle out of owning a home in France.
Whether you are buying as an investment, or moving over permanently, PIFCARE can be what you want it to be. At its core are the following services:
- A comprehensive letting service
- House and gîte cleaning
- Maintenance: garden, pools, houses
- Surveillance (the current surveillance service is now included as part of the PIFCARE service)
What else can PIFCARE do?
If you have a problem or questions linked to owning a house or moving to France, PIFCARE can help. The company has been in the region for 19 years, has a network of contacts, and can find answers to most questions. Things like:
- Finding a plumber, electrician or artisan
- Emptying a septic tank
- Getting planning permission
- Getting a French driving license
- Sourcing the nearest English-speaking vet
- Finding animal/house sitters
- Finding baby/granny sitters
- Finding and visiting schools
- Accompanied trips to doctors, consultants and hospitals
- Getting a mobile phone
- Making a will
- Planning a wedding
Cost: Depending on project from free advice to 75€ per hour or project management fee.
PIFCARE OFFER : For an annual fee of 250€ - we will provide up to 5 hours of assistance.
Letting Service
A comprehensive service that encompasses all aspects of managing your rental property and helping you ensure that you get an optimum return on your investment
The service takes away the stress of property letting for the owner and provides a 24-hour on-the-spot contact point. The service includes:
- Quality photographs of your property
- Comprehensive details of your property within the PIF HOLIDAY RENTALS section of our popular Properties in France Website
- Information sheet on how and where best to market your property
- Inclusion in a PIFCARE leaflet to be mailed to new PIF contacts
- Issuing of paperwork (all cheques will be paid direct to the owners)
- Distribution at a minimum of 5 property shows per year in UK (approx 10,000 contacts)
Set-up costs for photography and inclusion on the Website is 75€. Thereafter there is a 20% management fee on all bookings through PIFCARE.

Is my property suitable for a gîte?
PIFCARE also offers an audit and advice service. A visit and a report (with photographs) are prepared with recommendations on upgrades that will give your property better letting potential.
Cost for this service is 75€ per property.
What if I need to make changes?
PIFCARE can manage these changes: be it structural, such as building a patio, or as simple as buying a cake slice - PIFCARE makes it happen.
Cost 75€ per hour of by pre-agreed project fee
What about seeing people in and out?
PIFCARE will make sure that guests have access to your property and that they have all they need when they are there.
What if our guests have a problem?
PIFCARE provides assistance for guests in gîtes for all issues whether a plumbing problem or a restaurant recommendation. Cost is included in management fee.
What about cleaning & maintenance
PIFCARE can arrange for all these services as required. Administration is included within the management fee. Typical costs for services are as follows:
- 16€ per hour for cleaning
- 16€ per hour for garden/pool maintenance
Cleaning Services
Whether it is regular gîte maintenance or a seasonal spring clean, PIFCARE takes care of it.
Cost is €16 per hour
Maintenance: Garden, Pools, Houses
From cutting-down trees to lawn maintenance, getting pools ready for Summer/Winter and general maintenance, repainting shutters or building patios, PIFCARE can organise maintenance services on your behalf.

Surveillance Service
Our popular surveillance service now comes under the umbrella of PIFCARE. We will visit your property on a monthly basis, conducting a thorough investigation inside and out and forward any mail. Each month, we will send a written report with photos and make any recommendations for repairs/maintenance.
This ‘peace of mind’ service includes checking that the property is secure and in good order and can be timed to coincide with your trip over so that electricity, water and heating is available for your arrival.
We also make additional storm calls or trips during cold snaps to check for burst pipes/damage and, where appropriate, we can organise visits to coincide with deliveries or visits by workmen, where translations might be required.
